Well you defiantly have the right attitude. Most people would freak out and get all offended that someone dared to ask. GL to you sir.

Good chance he could get that removed, if he wanted.

Being Charged and Convicted are 2 different things...Being Charged with something doesn't mean much What you are Convicted of is where you will have your problems...
-
The problem I see is multiple charges ('04, '08 and inbetween), right ? This shows you aren't reformed and may do it again at any time. I mean, how do you explain it to a prospective employer ? One screw-up. maybe, but several ?
-
good point allow me but i take full responsibity for the first charge...i was young and dumb, not a good excuse but thats what i'm going with lol...but they second i had nothing to do with, i know i can get it expundged but i don't have the $300 laying around to get it off.
123456 Thanks this. -
I understand the point of it looking bad on me. But just because its on there doesn't mean i done anything wrong, i mean people get charged with stuff they didn't do everyday. I just don't know how much that would weigh in on the big companys.

Make sure you have all your paperwork in order regarding the nolle. If the only conviction you have on your record is the '04 petty larceny I think you will be OK with some companies. although most applications ask about convictions only, it still might be wise to be upfront about the felony charge which was dropped. Perhaps you can prepare a letter explaining the incident and attach with the nolle paperwork w/ your application.

I have a related question. When trucking companies run a background check on you, does that include a credit check?
To the OP, be carefull of what the school recruiters tell you. I called a school today and asked if my 4 year old DUI would be a problem. The person said no because its over 3 years old and they have a lot of local companies that would hire me, such as; Toy r us, coke, and pepsi. The person did disclose that there is no guarantee that I would be hired. I Lol'd because I seriously doubt that the big companies would hire with a dui on record. The smaller ones maybe. -
