Got my I-Phone 16g today through AT&T. I got to keep my current rate plan and only had to add $50 per month for the 5g data plan. I don't watch movies or anything like that so 5g should be plenty of bandwidth. I basically want email, mapqest, google maps and all the truck driving specific apps. none of which are bandwidth hogs. I'm glad I got the 16g phone as my daughter loaded 9.7g of music onto the phone for my listening pleasure. Poor kids just doesn't understand that Justin Bieber is not to my liking. I would rather throw him under the truck than listen to him inside the truck LOL

Thanks for all the replies, you helped a lot in my decision making

I love my Android Smart phone! I know I'll use it even more once I get through training and hit the road! I have a Kindle reader and in the past year, since I've had it, I've read more books in that year probably than in my whole life! And I'm freakin' old!

After doing some figuring today, that amount that I even use a phone, just decided to get a pre-paid phone with a card that is good for 3 months, 600 minutes, $45. The wife has the smart phone and is still trying to figure it out. I just use the laptop all the time anyway, and we have 6GB between the USB and her phone, and that is still $140/mo
