Thanks for the info KY24. Slip seating a road truck doesn't sound too appealing. It looked like they had out-and-back freight from Louisville. I guess you just take an available truck. Just wanted a little input before I gave them a call. Thanks.

I see them on the road. They run basic Freightliner Columbias. If you think they run round trip freight I would give them a call.

    Yes u are correct

From what he told me he would get to terminal truck keys would be with bills in his mailbox or if mt just the keys

You don't get a choice u can limit the slip seat if u stay out for them 8 to 10 days but u still cannot move in like leave your stuff in the truck etc.

I looked at their website and it does not look like it has been up dated lately. I like the sound of round trip freight.
The town I live in has a co. called NorthStar. They are a food hauler to resturants. The drivers there do some slip seating. They have some horror stories of the condition they find some trucks left in. Slip seating would not be good but, I could live with it if they don't make you sit and pay you what they owe you.

I talked to Pegasus recruiter just yesterday. Thinking of trying them out. From what he told me, city drivers (which is what i am interested in) drive whatever happens to be available that day, sleeper cab, day cab etc. Slip seating would suck for sure, but whatever.
He explained to me about an RHD (regular haul daily) division that they just started that gets you home every night and weekends. Basicly one trip out and back daily to cincinnatti, Chillacothe or wherever there is a Ford supplier. Drivers avg 1700-2200 miles weekly. He says you can bid on city and dedicated runs as they become available. RHD drivers with my experience (20+ yrs) start at .40 + .01 quarterly safety bonus. City drivers (Louisville area) earn up to 17.00 hr, according to website. Humana Ins., 401K, paid holiday and personal days, family owned, about 300 trucks.
