Sitting about half way between Indy and the Ohio line. Dropping dunnage at Miller in the morning. Was about 20 mins short on my 11 or make it tonight. Did the Chick Fritz world tour today and saw two diff dist. of theirs. Last one took forever to get bills for the dunnage. Only 4 days till vacation time.

Chilling in Trenton right now. Got to the brewery about 7 am and dropped. Send rdy for dispatch and get Chi Bev for 3am. I know its to keep me in freight lanes to get me home for vacation. But waking up at 5am and now having to try and get some sleep to get there sucks.

I know that! I have a real hard time sleeping in the daytime hours. Good that you're going on vacation, that will help get you thru it.

Way back when I used to be a trainer...not at Millis though. I would tell my students that in trucking you will live in a truck and visit home. Not much help I agree, but you must have support from home for this to be successful for you. The distraction of trouble on the home front is not what you need out here especially as a newbie as there will be enough thrown at you out here, the school and your trainer cannot cover all scenarios and i hope you get a good trainer that will keep in touch with you. Now here is an angle you might be able to work with her. Pending on where you live there might be a local or shorthaul board, not sure what is going on up in weedsport anymore (Millis has a terminal there) as I have been on the nc board for a long long time lol. Talk to your recruiter and ask questions, one thing I can commend the Millis recruiters on is that they were straight with me. If you decide to come over I wish you luck, Marco and Opie in BRF are the best, overall there are alot of great people here and some not so great. As with any job is has its pluses and its quirks, if any one company was doing it 100% right we would all be there, good luck

Took last week off for vacation to move from my folks place and move 2 hours east to Milledgeville, GA. My fiancee took a job offer of teaching full time out this way so it was time to move...pretty nice community that we live in.. very friendly neighbors and they have no problems with me parking my truck in the community! That was a big plus for me....can't park trailer there but that's not a big problem for me...even though I'm use to living on 6 acres and now I'm living in a townhouse in an apartment complex! Very nice back yard too...living right on Lake Sinclair so will be nice to be able to walk out back and go fishing when I want!! Now maybe need to invest in a nice pontoon boat!! Trucking has been great, ran 4K miles the week before vacation and other week haven't been bad at all! Truck is still running great with no issues so can't complain...just turning and burning and enjoying everyday!! Picked up in Green Bay, Wi. this morning and on my way to Cherokee, AL. Well just thought is kinda update everyone on what's been going on! Be safe out there everyone and stay cool!!

i am currently sitting at the petro in effingham waiting for a 9am pickup at quad graphics. this place is awesome. tons of parking and the building is huge. they have a knife store and a barber shop plus a shoe shine place. oh well i am headed to jersey again. i think its my new home. my drop is sunday at 2pm. so this is gonna be a no nonsense run. going to run my clock out after i get loaded and then going to have to take my ten and run hard to get there. i just hope they load me quick.

Hey Whitey. Where do you leave your trailer during home time? Do you lock the kingpin. Is it under a load?

Hey, I have another question. I already tried to search but I can't seem to search within a thread. I have to search the whole forum. Tips on that will be helpful

Anyway, does Millis require drivers to wear uniforms?
