Did my first ever loads of bulk this week and now I wonder why in the heck I didn't do this sooner. No blower, no problem! Tall stacks, no problem! Heavy ### truck .... well other than losing a little revenue... no problem!! I never thought I would be able to hook this truck to a trailer and be under 30K lbs but was at 29,500 with about 1/4 tanksSure don't miss that reefer running at night or the hold ups getting loaded and unloaded, longest wait this week was 30 min waiting for the blower so I could unload at a plant. I sure do like the FAST load times.

I like bulk myself, I have been doing some dry and liquid bulk the past couple weeks at the company I'm at just loading trailers and relaying them and doing bottom drops (I'm a flatbedder so my truck doesnt have a blower installed) and I love how quikcly im in and out of my stops!

It's a great industry. I was just with the wrong company and I got a gig hauling gas. Who knows I may be back. Bottom drop loads are the best. No plug ups

who are you currently with?

I'm currently with Georgia tank lines. It's great so far. Never thought I'd be in the petroleum industry

Chuck Garrison used to be a terminal mgr in Joliet IL with A&R. I worked with A&R back in 2005 they pulled all of the system owner operators contracts. I worked out of the Atlanta yard. Made good money with them. Yes they only pay 1.30 pm but they have a good fuel surcharge and they pay you to blow off or to vac you load. I was averaging about $1.65 pm loaded and empty back then. You will get the miles. And yes the boys out of Highlands TX go out loaded and back mty. Sometimes they do get a load back if they call a northern terminal. But most of them want to come back quickly for another load out...
