Good luck. I've been looking for two months for something local. I'm from the Sac area also. If you have endorsements for doubles you might find some local farm work for awhile.

I got over a year in with no endorsement and it's slim pickens. I don't know how your gonna exit without something negative on your DAC unless you already paid off the school. Even then the short employment time with Central is going to look bad.

Whatever you do make sure you have a job dang near guaranteed before you leave.

Good luck to you. Oh and if you find something let me know.

Web site is off on l/o pay. It's $1.065 but they almost cut the fsc in half now also. I was told from higher ups in the know, they did it to make it look bettee not pay more. Basically same pay just more per mile less on fsc. Also advice on leaving, try to do it at a terminal so as not to get nailed with abandon Trk.

Local company's normally do not use DAC. At least I have never seen one that does.
Try sand and gravel company's, concrete company's etc. Do not call, do not apply online. Go to the office, introduce yourself, and ask if they are hiring.
Look professional. Clean jeans, work boots, and a clean shirt (preferably not T-shirt). You may be suprised how many are quietly looking for someone ready to work.

Hey everyone been out of touch for a while been with trainer since the 25th and wow what a ride today would have made day 11 if we didn't break down in the middle of a load sitting at a TA waiting to repower the load so we can go to the shop OTRM seems to think we dropped the turbo but we are finally able to get some rest we have been running full tilt since I got on the truck. Put more miles past 10 days than I ever did in two weeks running flat bed everyone be safe

They cut the fsc by a little more than half and started paying fsc on all miles not just loaded. I stayed with the old contract, I did the math based on a 2800 mile week and found the new pay scale costing me 122.00 a week. In order for you to make the same $$ on the new scale as the old your deadhead % needs to be at about 15% or higher. My deadhead is only around 6%. The kicker is all the new L/O will have to take the new scale. FYI.. Anytime that CRFS does something like this new pay scale , you can bet your last dollar it benefits them a heck of a lot more than you. If given the choice, do the math and run realistic # to see if it benefits you before making the decision..that's all I have to say about that.....LOL

i would at least try to have a job waiting for you or in the works. You have been gone for 4 months whats another couple weeks away if you could browse the classifieds or craigslist or look into maybe trying something regional with another company. But if you try to plan a little ahead at least you might have a new job before the mess your dac up. Leave your truck at a terminal or drop yard and let them know and try to keep records of them telling you its ok to leave there so if they try to mess your dac up with abandonment at least you have a record to fight it

I think the number is 12% on dh miles to break even. I love that they keep saying "we gave our o/o's a raise!"

    No you didn't.
