Ran across this the other day and wondered if this would be a great idea to condition just the sleeping area of the sleeper without buying an expensive APU or add another battery bank. Knowing the NASCAR drivers use cool suits and helments to condition themselves inside a race car that is well over 100 degrees inside led me to this technology.

For $399 and only 150 watts and 80 watts average use would not drain the batteries down with a small inverter operating it....I know my 12 volt heating pad works real good on cold nights in sleeper, just wondering if this might work for the summer time also?

Hey this is what I need at home; as long as you don't have a cat who might like to put her claws into it. It would be something like the idea of the heat that under the floors using water.

They said Thomas Jefferson had 2 bedrooms; the custom of the day I guess was you might sleep a few hours and then get up and be a night owl writing or entertaining friends; when ready to go back to bed he would use the 2nd bedroom which had a cold bed. Without air conditioning then this would have been a great help.

Looks awesome, and the 30"X75" single pad is almost a perfect fit for my 36"X78" bunk.

Its nice that its padded and all, too, since I still don't have a matress in the truck (been saving up for one of those individually pocketed coil spring mattresses they have at the truck shows). Tossing the $400 at this thing would probably help me sleep better than a matress, since I'm still young enough that sleeping on aluminum bothers me less than wondering whether my A/C is cooling the bunk down faster than the engine is heating it up.

Got some insulation work done on the bunk, so now this little 55F water bag seems like it might be able to do what it advertises. It'll take a little carpentry to find a place for the pump and all, but this seems like a decent product. Might even run it during the day when the A/C isn't QUITE cooling down the cab enough, rather than flipping on the turbo fan, which dumps heaps of interference into my radios.

Definitely moved this to the top of my wish-list.

Well I've got it ordered for the hubby and it ships in 2 days so hopefully it will be here when he gets home next week.

Will let you know if it works out or not. He thought it would be a good idea to use as a cover; don't know it looks like it might be a little heavy for a cover.

One sight said to use a little vinegar in the lines also or waterbed conditioner, guess I'll just get him some vinegar to keep on the truck.
