You can't yell fire in a crowded theatre can you???
I think most companies, especially ones in a Florida (right to work state) can fire you without cause. Defaming the company when you accuse people of racism(whether true or not mind you) in a public forum (TTR) or calling out other employees, how repairs are done, legality of how they do business... well, you get the idea I hope, would easily give them cause to review or terminate your time there.... Some of the people here have given enough info about the trucks they drive, where they live, runs they are doing etc. that anyone with a little inside knowledge of the company could put 2+2 together and figure out who they are.... just saying....

Very true, they can figure who is who when their is enough information about a driver. Then again in Florida it is a right to work state. If the employer doesn't like the way you look, smell or even how you fart. You can lose you job in a heart beat. :biggrin_2556:

Everything I thought good about this company just went to bad really quick. I heard the horror stories of what they will do when you quit and I ignored them. Well, they are now learned to be true. It is unfortunate that a bad apple in the office is the cause of the problems I am having and no, it is't Josh either...

I've been getting a feeling to do this for a while and really didn't even want to begin this thread in the first place.

I'm avoiding all personal conflicts that are happening as they have nothing to do with me and quite honestly I don't even want to be anywhere near it. Im going to remove myself from this thread. I started this thread for my positive experience with the company. All other stuff doesn't concern me, so on that note, hope everyone gets their stuff resolved.

Good luck Anj. You are right, it doesn't involve you for you are a good employee and the company is good to you as you are to it.

There is no personal conflict between you and I or with me and Link as a company. Just one person that is there and you know more details as to why than anyone here. Link isn't a bad company, but certain apples within the company are. I resigned to protect myself and work on my family and I get slammed by the person for why I am leaving in the first place. Because of this, I am forced to reveal some personal issues with upper management which will cause some people to lose the jobs which I tried to avoid to begin with. Because of this person's actions and the coments made on the phone as well as threats via voicemail, texts, and through others who are not even employed with Link, there will be some changes made with the office staff or some suspensions made. I avoided it, resigned the company, moved on, but this person insisted on continuing and therefore I have to protect my future interests. It is just sad that there are always personal conflicts that get involved within a business for the level of professionalism changes and attacks become personal.

Anyway, good luck to you and the good apples at Link. I wish you all great success there at Link, if it can be maintained...

Anj8488, there are many facets to financing and mergers and acquisitions when it comes to trucking companies and do not be fooled by that simple fact. There is a way you can get the equipment you want and need to make you're rolling stock better and more attractable to customers and drivers. The real questions is where does someone want to spend their money and what is truly important to them.

I have researched the investment firm that bought out your company and while they are a good firm, they could do a lot better. There is another trucking company in the Fort Worth area called Castro-Bain Enterprises, INC that would be a great fit for a merger, but I doubt that will ever happen. Most investment firms do not like companies that will rock the boat and this one will turn it upside down. But they have some great ideas and could make things a lot better for drivers and companies over this great country. Oh well. Only the good die young.
