Hey Harold, hows it going? I have been towing on and off for about 20 yrs. And I have been out of the loop for the last past 3 yrs. I just started working for a company as a heavy operator and I'm alittle rough around the edges and was wondering if you can help me out with hooking up to a truck with an automatic transmission vs. A manual transmission? I kind of get stuck trying to make a decision whether or not I should pull the axle or pull the drive shaft? And also hooking up the air lines! Should I hook up the lines directly to the tanks ro should I go for the glad handles? I would appreciate what ever info you can help with?

It does NOT matter if it is an automatic or manual transmission!!! If the drive wheels are on the ground, the driveline MUST be disconnected either by removing the drive shaft or pulling the axles! and as far as air, there are several options... main line off compressor, air tank, drier, some have compucheck valves... ect...
