Have you tried a Freightliner dealer?
-
Will talk to them tomorrow when I pick up the truck.
Figured someone might know who the publisher is. -
Parts, Service, Maintenance and Drivers manuals for the Century (truckiside) will all be purchased from a Freightliner Dealer. Manuals are my specialty. As far as the S60(engineside) goes, they too will be purchased from a Freightlner Dealer or authorized Detroit dealer. You did not mention the make of your transmission but if it is a Fuller all manuals are available free of charge online. If it is a Meritor(Rockwell) Some info is free online and books are also available for purchase. Here's my breakdown of what you will want to purchase, this is not every manual available remember some components(5th wheel, steering pump, steering gear, etc) have thier own manuals as well.
FL Century service manual $200.00
FL Cenury parts manual $200.00 (VIN specific)
FL Century maintenance $50.00
FL Century drivers $50.00
FL Century wiring schematic $50.00 (Not VIN specific)
This will cover the truckside. I do not believe Freightliner has any other publications for the Century Class S/T. The manuals are very well written and illustrated. They are also available in CD for about twice as much.
Now for the engine, S60 the last great motor of its kind. Sorry Cat and Cummins guys. I like those motors too. In order to be able to work on your motor completely, You will need the DDDL software and a scanner tool. Preferably NEXIQ 125032. These are sold as a package at your Freightliner dealer. Here's the engine breakdown.(sorry no pun intended)
DDDl Software 7.08 and 6.46 $2400.00
DD60 Service manual $200.00
DD60 T/S manual $150.00
DD60 Parts manual $150.00 (not ESN specific) If you can use these books you are "old school". Know your types.
DD60 Drivers manual $50.00
This was written for those that intend to work on their truck. If you do not intend to work on your truck you will not need the software.
Thanks for reading "Keep on truckin"
Oh yeah the series60 you have EPA07 has additional EGR manuals. Overall you could spend over $1000.00 on engine manuals alone. There's like 7 or 8. Also be sure to buy the right DD manuals there are three "types".Last edited: Aug 5, 2012
MNdriver Thanks this. -
Eaton Fuller RTLO-18913A transmission. Got this out of the dealer in Washington. They wiped the computer and created all kinds of havoc not putting the rotations per mile and VSS teeth count into the computer again.
Haven't crawled under it yet to find the rear-end tags. -
Thank god you said Eaton Fuller, I was afraid you were gonna say Mercedes, oops I mean Detroit. www.rodranger.com the sight is a little difficult to navigate but ALL the info you need is there. Many manuals are also available in book form for purchase. If the rearends are Eaton Fuller(Spicer) than likewise as far as manuals are concerned. If you give me your VIN I can figure out the make of your rear axles. Chances are you have Meritor 40-145s. Hope to god you dont have Mercedes, oops Detroit. I keep doing that.
-
Not to mention your steering axle. If it's Hendrickson, "Detroit", Meritor or Eaton(It will be one of them). You wil need a seperate manual. At least 100 bucks. This is my seventh post.

Hendricks front air ride axle.

PeterLiner,
