Russell's Truck Stop on I-40 - 3 miles from the NM - TX state line is the best truck stop I have ever been. It's very clean and has all kinds of RT 66 history. It's the best part of my trip when I get an assignment to Albuquerque. It's the best place to stop. Always support this independent truck stop when you need to fuel up !!!! Good People = Good Business.

Hey-I haven't been to that one.Their other one in Springer,NM(40 miles south of the NM/CO border)i think is really different.I don't like when it's social hour between the employees and actually doing business is an interruption of their work day.The tire shop is very good.I've used them a few times.Take care.Brian

My fav spot was the texico on the southside San Jon exit. nice quiet spot, free wifi inside with TV. Washer/dryer is cheap. It never gets as crowded as that old travelers mart on the other side of the highway which is a horrid place with bathrooms that could bring the dead back to life just to kill them again....

I stayed there one night at the Dhillons. Yeah, that bathroom left much to be desired. Did buy some of those intersting Indian snacks though.

Russel in Springer suffers from the fact that it's in Springer, NM, which is home to the NM School for Boys.

I loved this place. Russells on the I-40 - NM-TX state line was great. I think it's Exit 369. The museum is the best part. I loved the guy who meets people at the entrance of the museum. He is part of RT 66 history that is represented there. I donated at the front museum entrance to support their charity. I really loved that place.
