Should we, as individual drivers, try to be better drivers?

i wouldnh't tow it down the road. i'd just have a dirt lot at the very far corner or somewhere close by so the driver could walk his lazy arse.

There is a truck stop near Sparta TN where they drop huge concrete pylons in front of & behind trucks parked at the fuel osland. They charge 50 or 100 to remove them & let you outdannythetrucker, -insert name- and Joetro Thank this.
-
If only all truckstops would do that, but raise the cost.
-
I don't think that's even legal! You cannot detain someone like that against their will. Well I guess you're not detaining them, but their trucks...but then again if the truck actually was owned by the driver, then you have a case of detaining someone's property.
LMAO you should put up a big painted sign that says "THE PENALTY BOX" or "TIME OUT CORNER" and put a big wooden dunce cap on top of it.

Since you guys are sounding off on things that tick you off at truck stops, what is it with drivers that urinate and even crap in parking lots? How is it, that these people are lazy to the point they can't go inside to use the restroom? If you can't handle walking 75 yards or so to an actual toilet, reassess your lifestyle. The disgusting nature of some truck drivers is beyond comprehension sometimes, their lack of dignity and respect for themselves and other drivers. Hopefully they won't start pinching a loaf at the fuel island while they are fueling.
Oh, and to the ones that like to toss pee, quit throwing your bottles full of urine out the window.Last edited: Aug 7, 2012

I worked for Navajo. They have electronic log books. Theirs go to drive line the second the truck is put in gear.
-
So drive that 2-3 seconds to the pullup area, and go back on line 4 or 1.

Darn, that would suck! I know not to work for Navajo now... I can drive up to a mile before it kicks over, has saved me tons of time, plus being able to park at consignee the night before, roll over to the dock, unload, THEN start my clock... Couple times, I've had to stop, then make the last 1.5 miles to destination by stopping part way to keep clock stopped, or I'd have been in violation. Sometimes, I've stopped with like 2 mins on the clock, and the choice was to stop an hour back because that was the last place to park... On the one hand, I enjoy the ease of use with the EOBR, on the other hand, I hate not having a bit of flexibility to account for reality...
