no, it will still be seen as "sour grapes" to any agency he reports this crap to,

we all leave employers. some use common sense in leaving, some use no sense at all, and just quit on a whim.

why should i drop any terminology, just to satisfy you and a few others..??

i don't really care what "others think" of me. at my age, i have LONG BEEN settled in. seems to me you are too thin skinned, or overly "politically correct"...and you wanna know what you or anyone else can do with that political correctness BS..????

 

It'll only be seen as "sour grapes" by someone who can't fathom someone having better sense than to stick around. He's not an undercover spy. You wouldn't be implying that only an ex-employee is the only one that can be "vindictive" would you? Not like a company would be vindictive (ahem DAC!!!) to an employee, would they.

And some companies release people on a whim....ahem...you have heard of the term "at-will-employment" haven't you?

So then you are too old to change then is that it? Good luck with the new regulations, I'm sure you'll have your hands full telling the DOT, "well that isn't the way we've done it for years". I'm sure they'll buy your "politically correct" excuse.

 

Well, you have lots of options.. The first is to call the FMCA and file a complaint. The second is to call ODA. The third, is, if it is your rig, you can ask to get it repaired on the qual com, if your dispatcher says no, show the next scale master. They will make real sure you get it fixed.

 

"Dropping a dime" will never get action. It takes a written letter with all the details, such as names and dates. Been there and done it. In other words, the Federal DOT wants to have all the information when they walk into a trucking company. They don't like to "strain".

 

I even took pictures of the qual com to send in, when the dispatcher told me to do something illegal or I would lose my job. That went a long ways.
