Does anyone know if CRE and Werner are owned by the same people or lawyers? I just read "CR England is a criminal organization." The horror stories from drivers are the same.
Werner compared to C.R. England

CRE has newer trucks over Werner. Then again, I have yet to read the OP. Just posting based on the title for now.

Also, Werner does not secure their truck drivers personal ID information. If you are a driver for Werner, your SSN# is identified on a shared network. Anyone who has access to Werner's shared network will have access to all of their drivers SSN#'s and personal identification information. SSN#'s are highly confidential. If you suspect someone else has used your SSN# and you were ever a driver for Werner.....request the Social Security Administration to trace the possible illegal use of your SSN# back to Werner. Federal employment law requires any and all USA businesses to hold their employee's SSN# in a secured location with only identified permissive access....Werner does not secure any of their drivers ID information. Anyone can access it.

Are u a lawyer? The army had my ssn on thousands of documents..I'm more worried about that than a trucking company

Wow, thanks to all for the heads up on Werner, I was going to work for them. CR England was a bad experience, JB Hunt was better, but I blew it because of log vio's, my bad. Guess I'll try Knight, I hear they have paperless log's.

I think truck drivers must consider unionizing. A truckers union needs to be voted in by the truck drivers, themselves. Unions will not work if the truckers do not know and trust their union representatives. At this time, Werner is worthless; however, the same Werner investors or affiliates can easily conduct the same in another trucking company. The best way for truck drivers to stop their employers from coercing over the road accidents and incorrect pay for loads (when ETA delays are necessary and documented), is to set up their own unions. A trustworthy union can prevent a lot of the problems with dispatchers. For example, 1.) when a dispatcher gives the truck driver the wrong information (i.e. the wrong phone numbers, wrong delivery addresses and times, wrong ETA's and wrong contact information) for their load assignments OR 2.) if a dispatcher doesn't permit truck repairs. The dispatcher would be immediately fired and the trucking company would be held responsible for any delayed ETA's. The only responsibility a dispatcher should have is providing the option of assigned loads to truck drivers on the road. Delayed ETA's and decision making needs to only be in the truck driver's assessment of road conditions and construction, weather, truck repairs, traffic delays and/or any other reason a load assignment can be delayed. When dispatchers even attempt to make these decisions for truckers, they and their managers would be fired immediately within the terms of a good union. Werner is worse than any corruption I have ever seen. My dispatchers should be incarcerated.

Sofia,
I think I have decided on Knight, they run Frieghtliners and thats what I am used to, plus they said they'll pay me a $200 sign on bonus so I don't get in the truck broke and on top of that a $400 per week salery while in training. Training is suposed to take a "couple weeks", but we'll see. I also read your post on unionizing the truck industry, I am 110% behing that idea. Bring back Jimmy Hoffa! If we all stood together then wages and benifits would improve, working conditions would get better too and I believe even safety would improve. If only all drivers realized how much power we could yield as a workforce. I know the teamsters are still out there, but they have gotten smaller and less powerful than they used to be. Maybe drivers like us should chat this idea up at truck stops and on CB radio to see how many other truckers feel the same about it. Ah the possibilities....

Union..honestly I don't think it would be a bad thing...only thing is if drivers make more the price of everything will go up...old rule of thumb...the more you get paid the more the cost of living goes up
