Another KY Noobie ;)

Hello All
Well, I scrounged around on this site for awhile so I wouldn't feel like such a dork in the introductions, , it didn't help...
Enough of that, lol...
I'll be starting my class for CRST in Elizabethtown, KY on Sept. 4th.
I'm doing a major career change to do something that I'd considered for years. I've been working in the decorative concrete industry for a decade, with side services that consisted of anything that would get me on rope. Yes, I am the proverbial rope junkie... A cave, cliff, bridge or tall building is always a possible point for a drop, lol...
I'm going into this with both eyes open and absolutely no expectations of monetary gain for my first year. I've read so many horror stories about CRST that I'm rofling. All I can do is wait and see. I had an ex that drove for them for about 5 yrs., unfortunately went thru a killer accident, the 4 wheeler that yanked em' out died from burn injuries..
I've read all the pros and cons listed from so many different perspectives that it all becomes an alluring blur. So I will take my time and continue reading the wealth of info that you good folks share, and hope for a good co-driver when the time is right.....

I'm actually near Red River Gorge w/ Etown being almost 3 hrs. away. No big deal, it allows me to ride my bike up and save on the bus ticket cost and gives me transportation while at school. My head hunter has been really helpful and I'm just looking forward to a different pace....

 

Lol... Yes. there is a school in E town and yes it does train potential CRST drivers, amongst other companies...

 

It's not kctcs, it's "C.D.L. Training Service and Consulting, INC"... With one in Paducah and one in Elizabethtown.
