Catalogs, magazines, junk mail, etc. I've hauled crap like "The Oprah Magazine" & "Soybean Digest" out of there. People actually pay for that stuff, LOL. But I've also hauled truckloads of Menards' sales papers that clutter up mail boxes. RR Donnelley also prints the telephone books around here.

That is correct, usually long loading times are due to printing, cross dock shipments, catalogs etc. They unload fairly quick....

I'm at R R Donnelly in York, PA this morning. Brought a load in from El Paso. We shall see how long. I checked in at 0715.

We pick up a lot here in York that heads back home so hopefully by this afternoon I'm rolling home for some turkey!

RR Donnelly has always been good to me, despite the one time that I delivered to their facility in Baltimore, and they had a load out of there to NJ that I could have taken but they wouldn't come up $100 on the rate to cover tolls. The dock manager was furious with corporate over that one. They had to send it out via LTL carrier and it ultimately cost about twice as much as if they'd accepted my rate to begin with. I bounced out of there empty and picked up a Coke load across town.

i have been to the harrisonburg va location a time or two. took about 3 hours to get unloaded. dont show up late on a delivery at the VA location, you will sit for hours. they made me wait the entire shift once, then #####ed the entire time about unloading so late in the evening. whatever.

RR Donnelley, Bollingbrook is a distribution center! The Donnelley manufacturing divisions send their finished products there to be matched with with other products from other divisions going to the same regions to save on shipping expenses. The motto has always been hurry up and wait.

The RR Donnelly facility in El Paso has been known to try to load 52,000 lbs and say 40k on the bills.
