If Swift won't touch you then most other mega-carriers probably won't either. Swift is probably one of the most lenient ones out of them all. You may have to try the smaller companies. If your MVR is that bad I would wait until you get some answers before signing up for school.
What all is on your MVR?

US xpress said I'm OK and good to go, supposed to be heading to orientation on the 27th. So what should I expect, what do u have to do at orientation before hitting the road with a trainer?
-
You'll do good, I get by on 4-600 a week. I take 50 out of the account every Monday so I can survive OTR.

Wow! I can't believe USX gave you the go ahead! They are most definitely a lot more strict and less lenient than Swift. Just to be on the safe side I would recommend calling them back in the next few days and going over everything. Make absolute sure that everything is kosher, even if you have to talk to a couple different recruiters. You have to be careful with these recruiters. They will say anything just to get you to orientation even if they know you will be sent home as soon as you get there! As long as they get you signed up for that orientation then they get paid their commission. Not trying to be negative, just giving you a heads up to be weary because a lot of them operate this way. So call them back and make absolute sure all your I's are dotted and T's are crossed! You can try getting it in writing but a lot of times they won't do it.
Good luck man, let us know how things go...mosesmiller and ShootThis Thank this. -
Hopefully it was a real usx recruiter,
and not an independent.......... -
Ya exactly!

Yeah, thanks for the advice I will make sure and call them and make sure its all legitimate.

Hiring standards change almost weekly for many of the larger carriers, depending on current number of empty trucks, experienced driver apps in the inbox, inexperienced driver apps in the inbox, short-term forecast truckload demand, and other variables. Most of them are self-insured so they can essentially modify the hiring requirements as they go to help satisfy current need, with approval from mid/upper level management.

hopefully that's not what you make after 15 years -
