I always run 2 lanes, I get a kick out of truck drivers who are afraid to run 2 lanes or go off the major interstates, sometimes you can save alot of time by taking a 2 lane road a few miles.

To be honest tho, i don't go "into " Chicago much myself. i pick most my loads south of there or Indiana. I've ran Chicago long enough to judge where most the places are that ship from in the city and I can't fit my truck into most of them.CAXPT Thanks this. -
I haven't been to all the places I'm sure, so I'll have to keep my guard up.
Incidentally, that Chicago Low Clearance thread about 79th Street you posted,? I did that once with a bobtail going to the Railroad yard, thought I was slick, till I got near the railyard and saw the sign for the bridge just before it...thank god I was bobtail...turning around would have been a pain. -
CAXPT Thanks this.
