Absolutely. Still though, OKC is a really good reminder of why the driver needs to always stay on top of things isn't it.

Thought is was really fascinating to see my icon off roading. lol. Didn't a truck could do that.

Well if I can get my addresses into the new unit, I'll buy a TND 720. My 710 is only a couple months old.

As for the manual export, please PM the instructions.

BTW, if the capability to transfer Address Book entries is not there, you REALLY need to add that capability.

As a former product manager, I would have never let the 720 ship without such an "upgrade" path.

BUT then, I would have also insisted upon a real "ruggedized" rubber housing, not just plastic that looks like one.

I don't know if the new dock has been changed in the last few weeks (thereby making it a "new-new" dock, lol) but I was unable to transfer the address book using the dock last time I tried. However, it is a piece of cake to simply copy the address book file from the old unit into the same folder on the new 720 and everything came right over. Took about 30 seconds.

 

Playing with the weather here on the 720 and have an observation. Might be kind of nice to have button set to a predefined possibly user selectable zoom level for viewing the weather map. Might be on a street level map for navigation but want to see the area weather-one touch an bang, county or state or even regional weather. Click the back button and back to orginal navigational level. Just an observation.

Any news on a map update for the 510/710?? My 710 (bought 3/11) is really getting on my nerves with all the "offroading" I'm doing. I keep it up dated weekly and have no problems with the unit other than the map.

Anyone have this problem...

Tnd 510 - blowing truck fuse. I've had it for about 6 months now without any issues and now today it started blowing fuses. The fuse inside the plug is fine but it blowing my truck fuses, any where I plug it in... Is this a normal problem with this unit or something weird?
