Years ago I took a Werner load that needed Hazmat. I wasn't Hazmat at the time and Werner never put it on the BOL. The customer was mad and I couldn't do anything because Werner never listed it as Hazmat. If checking wagons, I would have been in trouble at the weight station for hauling. I had a full wagon that would no way pass DOT.

The only way I managed to survive working for Werner for a few months was by listening to Louis Armstrong while I was driving. It was the only thing that gave me any hope. Other drivers from other trucking companies really felt sorry for me. Other drivers were so respectful to me and never told me I was stupid for working for Werner. The other drivers were sympathetic that I worked for Werner and kindly encouraged me to find employment with a better trucking company. I realized how bad it was because my dispatchers were very outspoken by insisting that I drive when my truck needed confirmed repairs or when I would have been in log violations of my 14, 11 and 10 hour rules. (Of course, I refused to drive in these circumstances which further complicated issues when Werner illegally withheld my pay for completed load deliveries. I appropriately documented any delayed ETA's in Qualcomm.)

I agree and it's kinda like when I used to be a mechanic: Ya start at the bottom and ya work your way up. Saw alotta people expecting a brand new tool chest and expected to get handed their ASE within a few months. Lol, hey some how when ya change oil, and/or tires and possibly sell a air filter alot of people seem to think their automatically the ones all race teams should call for advice when facing a mechanical issue. If I decide to drive again, I'll gladly work my way up... Although, a new rig @ $0.80mpg does sound like a good idea for all newbies & And of course 100% Drop&Hook, lol. Ya'll take care and God bless all Truckers.

Warner is on E-log, Warner can not force a driver to break DOT reg. the driver must be willing, I have had dispatchers try this with me in the past, But, they cant reach into my truck and make this happen, Does Warner have some sort of magical power that allows them to start the truck and make it go down the road?, I thought only the driver in the truck could do this?, If the driver Does this, He's got no one to blame but himself!, there are other companies to go to. there is never a logical reason to put yourself in a bad situtation with your DAC report or your Driving record, witch will affect your CDL, Un-safe driver need to find other jobs other than driving a CMV, How hard is it to tell your DM, that you are not going to break the law, Stand up for yourself!, Tell them, NO!, Once you get in the habit of Breaking DOT reg. they will more than likely keep asking you to do it more and more
