    Day 4

Did nore driving today, all in all things went pretty good. Had a couple minor hiccups, but recovery is the key. Overall the group in my truck in doing very well and progressing everyday.

    Day 5

We did our long "cross country" drive today. Everyone in our group keeps improving and doing better. It was actually a pretty nice little run around the area.

Still hacken away at the homework. But so far so good, no complaints.

Everyone iv had any interaction with at the company has been really helpful and always friendly. It seems to be a really goos fit for me. One bit of advice for anyone coming to roehl, have a good sense of humor, keep you chin up, and pay attention. Remember that the 8 day orientation is a 8 day job interview. And lastly, keep it simple and drive the truck...

    Thanks

    Day 6

What a beautiful day it was up here. Mid 70's, not a cloud in the sky! Perfect weather for some backing practice on the backing pad.

After being dragged back in to the classroom lol, we did a tour of the terminal and head back to the sunrise cafe for dinner. Yuppee how many days in a row can i eat off the same menu... Haha.. Cant complain though, the foods halfway decent and its free!

    Day 7 and 8

Phase 1 complete! Yesterday we did some more backing and paperwork, today we got our id badges and a company hat.

Past week flew by looking back on it. No regrets and no complaints. Basic advice i can give to anyone going through phase one is to keep your head up, pay attention, keep positive, progress each day. And you'll be alright.

Now we have to cleanup the truck, and wait for our trainers to give us a call to pick us up.

Ill post while im out with the trainer as i can.

Things are coming alonh pretty good, i launched with my trainer on tuesday morning out of marshfield. We headed to do a live unload in MN, did a drop n hook just south of the con, back into Wisconsin for another live unload. From there we went a few miles down the road to pickup a load, and are headed down to TN.

We shut down at the flying j just south of Indy cor some shut eye, and will be heading back out in the morning.

I lucked out with my trainer, hea a pretty cool dude. New truck, good trainer, cant ask for anything else

Havnt had a chance to post for a few days, but things are going good... We have been running all over place. Roehl loves using US routes.. Haha.

Under a 45k load headed down to the Carolinas for tomorrow morning. I got to expience fancy gap for the first time with an 1/8 mile vis and pouring rain.. Did i mention fog? Gotta love my buddy jake break.

As i said, things are going pretty good. Should be routed back towards the mother ship tomorrow so i can test out. Then its off to see the wife and kids if all goes well..

Congratulations & good luck with your new beginning! When you have time, I would like to hear your overall assessment of your orientation/testing/road training experience. Sounds like it went well for you.
