I was told they did not it just has to go through one of their inspection shops to get approved.
-
yep, Popcorn is right! Loaded a load a couple weeks ago with a guy who has a 1980's model Pete cabover!
-
I was told 10yrs but think that was a mistake.... I for the life of me don't understand why any company would have age requirements... As long as the truck passes current emission standards and dot, what difference does age make?????
-
So long as you pass with a Clean 120 and emissions you're solid my friend.

I'm running a 1984 Autocar and I don't have the oldest truck in the fleet.
As the new hiring policy, as of 8/1/12, is that all people submitting their applications will have to install an EOBR, a truck with a mechanical engine will no longer qualify. -
So wait, Trucks with 3406 Cat's and N-14 Cummins won't be able to Lease on to Landstar?? Welp those goes the chance i had...
-
just pre electronic engines wont be able to lease on.
-
Correct. If you drop an electronic engine in, inplace of the mechanical, then it would work. I have an N14 Celect Plus, at home, that I plan to replace my Big Cam III with.
-
The early N14 mechanicals will not qualify, but the N14 Celect and Celect Plus will qualify.DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
