I been looking at the Dynasys apu's, thinking about putting one on my truck. I'm looking for opinions and ideas of other owners that already have the dynasys on their flat tops, thanks!

i have got one, on a kw with aerodyne sleeper. last nite i had the a/c set to 70 and got under a blanket. i have mine since first week of jan. i love it. unit works great.
with the flatop it should do well also, why are you wondering about it from a flattop standpoint?SHC Thanks this. -
i'm wondering the plumbing of the ductwork, is it tied into the factory ductwork or has it's own setup, also how is it with heating or cooling the driver's compartment? thanks
-
i think the kw and pete are similar, mine is tied into the existing ductwork for the sleeper. but it can be done with seperate ductwork. and mine heats and cools just fine, it will cut on and off like central heat in a house. set mine on 70 last night, and slept under a quilt. and that was in south louisiana

I have mine tied into my sleeper duct work independently on my T2000. I had them disconnect the factory blower in the bunk so that the Dynasys is blowing all 400 cfm through the 4 vents on the back wall and also out 1 vent they added under the bed blowing into the cab.
It hit 106 degrees in Ontario, CA the other day and I didn't have to run my truck. I had mine installed at Boomer Diesel in Oklahoma City in March and am very happy with it. If you would prefer they have a guy in Oklahoma City that will install a roof top A/C on your flat top sleeper and then they will just install the generator part of the Dynasys system and wire them together. They are very professional and removed my Pony Pack and installed the Dynasys in less than 8 hrs on a Saturday. I've only had 1 problem with my unit. Last week when the generator belt tensioner failed, Hodyon over nighted the new part and had it installed at Rush Peterbilt in Fontana, Ca on warranty. Really good people! -
allan, i had mine done at boomer also, they do great work. nice folks there, did the owner bring you a big breakfast biscuit sat. morning?

No, he wasn't there due to a funeral they had to attend.
His wife stopped just long enough to sign the paperwork for the lease and they had 3 installers work on my truck simultaneously.
One inside and 2 outside. I asked them at Rush Peterbilt in Fontana, CA last week how long it was taking them to do installs there and he said 2.0 - 2.5 days. -
would love to see pics of this install , as i have a flat top SHAKER should be the same posted pics would be great.

Thanks everyone for all the info. I stopped by Boomers friday morning as they were starting on a W9 install. I'm pretty deadset on getting them to do the install. With that said, i'd still like to see one in operation beforehand. I just didnt have time to wait for their install on the W9, for they were having to do alot of modifying his setup.

I had mine installed at Boomer also. I was in at 7am and gone by 1pm same day. I have had a few problems with mine. Dynasys has been having ECU problems. I have an old version in now and have had no problems lately. Tech support is awesome. Cab temperature at 101, 20 minutes later 70 in a black 1989 379 63" flattop.
SHC Thanks this.
