    Thanks people, for your help, advice and concern. I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for you professional drivers. I made it back alive and without major incidents. I did however quit. I drove 3000 miles in 3 days, 3 deliveries. I was told to keep driving when I knew darn well I was illegal. I slept maybe 3-4 hours a night and did 3 round trips of the most stress filled 3 days of my life. I ground alot of gears and prayed the whole time. 1 trip to chicago, 1 to elkhorn, Wisconsin and 1 to Milwaukee. All the scales were closed along the way other than 1 and I had a green light to just go through. If they had pulled me in i would have been cooked. This just isn't for me and I told them when I got back from the last run I was done and handed them the keys. I got pretty good at up shifting but down shifting got me in some very rough spots. I had to pull to the shoulder several times to just start over in 1st. I clipped some curbs the 1st day out and also had trouble getting into a fuel island and another driver saw I was in trouble and helped me out. I learned alot. You do NOT just get in one of these rigs and drive. I'm at a loss as to what I'm going to do now but I know that if I kept doing what they were asking me to do I'd eventually get myself killed or worse, kill someone else. Just thought I should update this and thank everyone for the prayers, encouragement and support. Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart and again, I can't emphasize enough the respect I have for you drivers. I'll start looking for work again on Monday. God bless ya all!

    Quit? Good choice with that company running you to the ground. Hope you get a better job soon, I hear Old Domain is a good company in need of locals. Plus they have a nice train program and I believe a few team driver O/O's.

    Honey, I am very proud of you. It takes lots of guts to be a rookie out here with training. Since you had never driven a stick shift or anything as big as this, you did fantastic, if you only hit a couple of curbs. I will pray that you get a great job, that will train you properly, cause since you succeeded at this, with help, you would be able to do it all in time. Linda
