New Boston terminal. After 19 months with Swift, received my first CER. The ramp from I-70 to North I-75. Soon as I got on I-75, saw the little red lite come on the QC. Then just before the Picqua rest area, DOT in the middle, passed him, he came out and stayed with me, so I knew. Hit the rest area, on comes the signals, and on comes his lites. Passed with flhying colors. Did MAC 30 when arrived, all east coast, VA, WV and NC. Passed on all three.

    What is a CER?

Currently In Bosie for the night. Gonna do a quick local run. CSR asked me where I wanted to go, for doing the local run, said up US 95 to Lewiston (pretty ride). They sent me south on 95 going to Stockton... Oh well... As long as this local run don't take aall day.

CER + Critical Event Reporting. If you take a turn too fast a sensor will send a report to safety, same if braking really hard and sudden.

Got a pplan for an 88 mile pallet move this morning. Declined it with a note about my hometime this Wednesday in WA. Got this reply:
"Cannot decline this load your a company driver as of now I have nothing to move you west"

If anyone thinks Swift is not forced dispatch you might want to rethink that view. If anyone thinks Swift gives a hairy rats ... about your hometime request you might also want to rethink that view.

At a rest area on I94 in MI, about 15 miles from consignee.

And I've declined with home time as an excuse several times with no problem. Well no problem from the planner, my DL started to chew me out for not taking a load before I simply hung up the phone. Of course I was in New Boston (home terminal) and the planner wanted me to tcall from 40 miles away at 11:00pm to the terminal. No thinks, I'll forgo the $27 pay to actually be with my wife and daughter.
