I have had 4 or 5 of the newest version ECU's the longest lasted a week. The older software has a few problems but nothing like the new. Last I was told the new version would not be going out and they were talking about recalling the ones that were out.

thanks for the info, i would never had known, was no mention of it at Boomers friday. i'll have to find out what the differance is in the two as far as looks go so i'll know which one i'm getting.

They look identical. Both the CCU and the ECU.
-
ok thanks, another ?, is that the dynasys on the driver's side on your avatar?
-
No that picture was taken before the unit was installed. It is on the passenger side. I wouldn't worry about what version of software you get. Either they have the new fixed or the older version will work just fine. Don't know if they are still doing it but there was a grant if you got the shorepower option, it more than payed for itself. Just ask Dynasys about it.

Thanks for all your info, i'm looking forward to getting one with the weather we've had this yr, my biggest concern right now, is i don't have alot of extra space as it is as any flat top owner knows. i was so hoping the hvac unit would have fit in the narrow space in center of storage compartment underneath sleeper, Jason says it won't, they have to put it under the bed inside the truck.
-
Yes that is the only drawback. I lost all the space under the bed, but I moved my inverter and amplifier under there. So I gained a little space in other places. On the upside I have a microwave now. I was the driver that could be out for a month and never shut my truck off, but now as soon as I pull in off the road and the turbo cools off, I shut the main engine off. I can't stand to sleep with it running now.

I spoke to Tony at Hodyon this morning because my CCU started acting up and he told me that there is an update coming in 2-3 weeks which will correct the problems. Both the CCU (Touch Screen Cabin Control Unit) and something on the unit itself will be replaced on warranty.

The CCU and the ECU get changed. They look identical but the software is not compatible. The ECU is at the other end of the cable from the CCU. It is just plug and play.
Allan M Thanks this.
