Acutally..the pro star is a very nice truck and it rides very well...big improvements over the 9000 series they used to make.
-
Let's see, a 2008 Cascadia that was had an issue every month and had 600,000 miles vs a 2011 ProStar with 135,000 miles. I'll take my ProStar any day. I'm guessing you haven't actually driven one that new, or you wouldn't be calling it a downgrade. I no longer lug up the mountains at 15mph with 40,000lbs. Now I go 25-30 and have yet to overheat. The Cummings is a beast compared to that Detroit diesel in the crapcadia.

ProStar is a nice improvement over Freightliner. I use to drive a ProStar, nice ride and I like the way it steers. I don't like how low to the ground the ProStar is. That rubber trim on the bottom always gets damaged. The cab rocks moves too easily but I suppose one can adjust. KW does it better.

You're getting screwed. These figures equated to 28cpm.

Yeah they do. But as I said. I sed to make $250 a week before taxes in my previous life. As I also stated, I am waiting for my 1yr experience. You know it's actually good to stay with a job for a while before you jump ship. If I can get on one of the dedicated runs out of the 2 they have, I'll def be saying longer. Cause at the moment, $700-900 a week is #### good money to me.

And one more thing, seems te ones working directly for Werner are the ones getting really screwed. They are not getting the miles I get and make even less money. A guy told me he did 3300 miles for them and got a $600 check. So, who's getting screwed me or him? That's 924 for me. Twice I've done 3600 and I was more than happy with a $1008 check. I'm doing a lot better than anyone that works directly for Werner or Swift. My friend went to Swift and was lucky to get 2000 miles per week. I'll get greedier when I get more experience and prove that I'll stay a while.

Is your fleet "power only" or are your trucks leased to Werner with the e-logs, etc. My truck is a power only unit with Werner but this is the first time in a long time I've actually been hooked to a Werner trailer, for almost 8 months I've been pulling our company trailer. I forgot how beat up these Werner trailers are, this 2008 Wabash I'm hooked too is in worse shape than the 2005 Hyundai I usually pull.
