you can not use the Post 9/11 GI Bill for CDL Training. Post 9/11 is only for degree programs in college.

If you have the Montgomery GI Bill (Pre 9/11 GI Bill) you can use it, and it doesn't use all of your benefits.

If you want to use your GI Bill, and don't plan on using it for college, I suggest looking into one of the apprentice programs that will let you receive pay from your GI Bill. Werner, Roehl, TMC, Schneider and more have programs that pay you and you get paid from your GI Bill as well for 2 years while learning and getting established in the industry.

    todd44044 Thanks this.

Have you thought about Schnieder National? When i got out in 92 after Desert Storm they were heavily recruiting veterans leaving the military and provided free training.

After reading a lot of reviews, SAGE is one of the best. To bad they dont take the GI Bill in Texas, all the other SAGE schools do though.

I used a driving school that was connected with a community college. They only taught us enough to get a license. Cost me $4K.

I found that KLLM had the quickest tuition reimbursement program. Paid per week then the remainder paid out at the end of one year. Though the govmt took more than there share of that final payment...

You might want to check out Kaskaskia College talk to Dean Daum and go thru WIA Workforce Investment Act.

WIA is a great option, but from what i have heard it takes several to many months to get it.
