I was told by one of the recruiters that new drivers are governed to 62 MPH.
How long? Then what speed will I be governed after?

it will chamge to 66 after Mike Millis deems you are ready for that blisteri.g speed. My classmate Scott asked about his already and was told that all new drivers must complete one year of safe driving before you get turned up to 66.
GAlanFink and Hegemeister Thank this. -
Why?... 62 will get you there just as fast as 66 (and no tickets). Millis is a good company that takes care of their equipment. I've never driven flat bed but Millis would be a company I'd certainly look at if I ever go that route.
I drive for Foodliner/Quest and our trucks are governed to 65. It's plenty fast enough.
The idea is to drive like a pebble in a stream... let people pass you, stay to the right as much as possible and obey the laws.

Hegemeister Thanks this. -
I've only had my own truck for a few weeks now and to be honest it don't really bother me that much to be at 62. The only time it really hurts is trying to pull hills but whatever. I'm thankfull to have a job and am glad I chose to go with millis. Everyone I've talked to have been extremely helpful and has always answered my questions.

I think it really depends. I got my otr truck 3 weeks ago (a T700) and it was set to 66. I was told that 66 was the standard for all 700's.

Aneddy i also have a T700 and it is set to 62.
