I may be a little off, but I dare to say that most LTL carriers in the northeast are paying around 50cpm or better, union or non-union. I have not kept up with it too closely, but most of the trips average around 400 miles or better. But most of the LTL carriers have gone to working the drivers a few hours on the dock, either before they leave or at the "turn around terminal" or when they get back. So the hours that they work the dock or work the yard are in addition to the miles.
New pay scale. woohoo!

Those are the base OTR rates for van and flatbed. LTL deliveries pay extra for stops and unloading freight that makes up for the cpm rates.

That is still low for OTR solo drivers as compared to even the bottom feeders.

Most of you are not looking at the big picture. With miles and stops I average anywhere from .55cpm to .75cpm. My highest was $1.10pm for one week. My yearly its about 65k. Take your mile pay and stop pay and divide into your miles for your cpm average.

All I know is Im happy with w/s, they treat me good, and give me plenty of miles, on top of that like others have said, theres drop pay plus bonuses, so its all good. Only one thing that I don't like, I wish they had an overnight dispatcher, but oh well..
pandaboi, 2021DREAM and MontanaLongbow Thank this. -
Hey frg! Can u give me some tips for bonuses? I been following fuel stops route and less idle. Anything else?

Most of it has to do with what kind of truck you have and if youve been pulling heavy or lite loads. When I do pull heavy loads, I just try to keep my speed at around 60 mph (if I have the time). My older truck would get good mpg's, not sure about my newer truck yet. I idle like crazy and still get the bonuses.

That's just cpm, I was making over .50cpm when all said and done with bonuses and drop/stop pay...
