Hello everyone, I finally had the guts to post a comment. First, and foremost I wanna thank,Truckers Report and its staff for doing a superb job keeping us informed. I drove truck for only 17 years('92-'09) accident free, and CB free. Yes, I would say I was the only trucker on the road w/o a CB. First four years I hauled groceries, Van,Reefer,Tanker, and after realizing hauling groceries was not my cupa tea, I embarked on a challenging division-Flatbed. I hauled flatbed up until June of 2009, took a breather till September, and bought a good used 2003, WL900 (my first ever)and leased on with Landstar. It was friday afternoon and I was unloading Mercedes Benz race car parts @ Birmingham International, when a broker from Indy,IN called me up and offered me a load of lumber that would be picked-up in Moundville,AL. on Mon for Miami bound, and that the total weight would be no more than 42k. so what she said. Come Monday, Nov 30th, 2009 drove up to Moundville, AL, roughly 25 miles south of Tascaloosa, and by 8 am I was loaded and ready to 'rock-n-roll', and indeed I rocked and rolled big time allright. Got on the scale on the premises and I grossed 86,760. After a few arguments mgr, agreed to take off only two bundles. I re-weight and it registered 84,370. Being expert on dodging scales, I headed southbound on SR69. It's raining, roller coaster roadway, wet and tight, fulla pot holes, no shoulders on either sides, my speed btw 45/50, and just past Greensboro by a mile I felt like my left front end of the cab rising, I tried everything in my power to keep T/T on the road but mother nature got the best of me. The trailer ended up in a ditch with the fifth wheel attached to it, however, I managed to keep my truck on roadway on its side totally worthless. Alabama state boys told me the Air-Rides on those 53' spread axles are tricky, when roadway's are wet a slight bump and air-rides would cause the trailer to shift, in my case it shifted to the right and the the right wheels caught the edge of the road causing the rollover. In conclusion, 17 years at 100k/yr= Do the math. Thank you all for taking your time for reading my brief story, and be safe out there. And once again, Thank you, Truckers Report, and keep up the good work.
-insert name- Thanks this. -
Oh, don't be scared to post! But stay away from the Hijack thread if your afraid of weird stuff.

Thank you for the post. I am sorry to hear that you ended up on your side, and the 5th wheel off your truck. I have never heard of anything like this, and you have just taught me something new to beware of. Thanks. Be safe out there!

LOL. insert name, Thank you...good sense of humor. @ drdave, thank you for your kind words. B.B. King, has an awesome song it's called ' the Thrill Is Gone Babe'. After the rollover, the thrill of driving was gone. I put myself back to college, and I anticipate in graduating in the summer of 2014, with associate degree in medical field. BTW,I just renewed my CDL for another five years. Take care, and be safe.
