At the Flying Hook in Joplin, MO. According to my FM I am loading at the same place I am delivering in the morning. Then off to Union City, GA for a Thursday delivery. This week is already 100 times better than last week, which was just horrible in the miles dept.

I am at the TA in marianna, fl. Picked up from hosford, fl at the gp.
Headed to elkhart, in. Spent 8 hours at the shipper, there were 10 trucks ahead of me when I got there and 14 behind me when I left 30 minutes ago.
Supposed to deliver on Thursday at 1300 appt. Was originally 0900 but now I'll have to push it back even more. Fun fun

Yeah as much as I didn't want a columbia and how pissed I got for getting one, this thing isn't bad at all. I've enjoyed driving this truck.
Left the house yesterday, had to pick up at Adel, GA from Sierra Pine. 46,219 pounds of particle board. Had a appt time of 2:30pm but took them 3-4 hours to even look at me. After getting loaded I went to tarping the load and the one thing I hate about this place is they don't give you means to get up on top of it.
Now I'm a big guy, so I can't jump and pull myself up. Plus they make you wrap the load in plastic which is slippery as fuq. Well I has one piece on top of my load and with that plastic over it. It made like a ramp going up and down the piece. So I got up on top of it ok and going down I'm easing down it like I'm sliding. Well my foot went through the plastic and made me lunge head first towards the side of my trailer. Ended up with my shoulders hanging off the side.
Not such a great feeling. As I got up I'm just cussing and screaming, pretty mad I was. Took 30 minutes to secure and tarp, needles to say my tarp looks like crap but I don't care I was way to mad to even think about making it look good.
Once I got tarped up I rolled 190 miles to Ellenwood. Got there pretty late last night so late start to my morning. Got 529 miles to go today for a delivery at 7am in Teutopolis IL -
Are you and your wife planning to team? I would like to do that eventually, we still have one in school though so cant do it right now. I am going to RDTC next month, have not set a date yet.
-
That is the plan. We have one still in high school and one in the AF. We are fortunate as my sister-in-law is going to help with keeping an eye on him as she works at the school.
All the instructors at RDTC are great. Having been through it I know I made the right decision. Also glad my wife is going there as well. -
Sorry quoted the wrong post earlier, glad you knew who I was talking to though. I am waiting on a confirmation to go to RDTC on September 24th. Cant wait to get started, this is a big change from my previos 20 years! Im also looking forward to my kids being able to tag along with me during the summer months next year....I am trading less time with them during the school year for more time during the summer as they live with their mother. Begs the question anyone take their kids out with them on occassion? -
Still running hard. Got a 1275 mile load to deliver in Kansas City Friday morning at 0700. Wow, this week has been huge in the miles department. This last load makes about 3550 miles this week. I usually average about 2500 miles a week. I think I'll save this last trip for next weeks paycheck. After this week, the mileage gods will probably bless me with a 1500 mile week next week. LOL

You mean super solo right? There's no teams at Roehl, sorry to be a stickler just making sure you know. Last I checked it was .22 cpm. Regular dispatch just as you were solo basically from what I understood when I asked a couple months back. Maybe I'm missing something? I could be wrong on the cpm, super solo for sure no team I'm sure of, unless things have changed
-
In Oakdale WI Pilot with another Roehl truck next to me. Didnt see who it was, picking up in Tomah and heading to Bancroft WI tomorrow. Miles were up for me too this week, see what happens next week
-
Well....my wife's pre-hire letter definitely says otherwise. We were told that we wouldn't get the huge miles that companies that run mainly teams would get. We were told around 4600-5200/week which kind of agrees with what your saying. You are way off on the cpm....not sure how that # plays into anything. Never once heard the term "super solo". We didn't want the huge miles as we are not looking to burn out. Just a great way to be together and prepare for life after kids. Take care!
