1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Ok, maybe not the Devil but his cousin:) My fiancee' hadn't driven in years and would take him if he got a short refresher course. Which he did through a community college for $1,200.00. Seems like a great deal. Warning sign! Warning sign! :) If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
He has been with them 3 months today. We are counting the days so he can get enough time under his belt to get with a reputable company.

He was told he would have to be with a trainer for 2 to 4 weeks. He was with him for 7 weeks, they need teams for their busy May flower season, cheap labor, they kept all the new trainees out for 7 or more weeks.
After he went through orientation they told him he has to leave the truck at the yard. The yard is in Okahumpka FL, about 2 hours from our house! All Florida drivers have to leave their truck at the HUMP, even if they live in Miami! They have to keep their idle time below 40% or they will lower their speed limit(govern it). Continuous infractions for this will get you fired. They won't pay for Idleaire(as of tonight). You are supposed to keep your stats the same as the few trucks that have generators installed. Not possible.
He picks up loads, drives short distances and then has to layover for days. His first solo paycheck for 2 weeks, he cleared less than $600.00.
They lie about getting you home.
Don't do it-that's all I have to say.

Yes i had the unpleasure to work for these fools. It is exactly as she said They love to use newbies on their may flower runs. as for home time forget it they kept me out for 3 months and their excuse was they had no loads going back to the yard which i had talked to different drivers also from LCT and they had told me other wise. as for pay hope you don't have bills or a home to pay for because you are not going to make anything passed 600. if you go solo. trust me i worked for them 6 months and all i got was one good run out and the rest of the next 2 weeks crap runs. this is the company to work for if you have a bad rap and can't find no one else to give you a job. by the way that whole thing about idling is all true. by the way this company gives apu for teams but teams run hard and they don't hardly stop which is so strange for me.:biggrin_25510:

Been there done that. Worked here in '07. Not a good career position. Did a lot of sitting around. Glad they went out of business because they screwed up my DAC.
