I rolled into Asheboro, North Carolina this afternoon. At the hotel till friday morning when they unload me. Guy at the jobsite said "You are a day and a half early". I said "Would you rather have me a day and a half late?"

JD Dubuque & Davenport just came off 2 week shutdown. When volumes are low the bulk of the freight goes to those with he lowest rate. If you didn't get any loads, at least you can take solace in the fact that your company isn't the cheapest.

Smithway had a fleet of trucks that pulled RGNs for years. They hauled Challengers and sprayers for Agco out of Jackson, MN. I would assume that this fleet survived the takeover by Western.

Well, $1,200 later and the trucks back on the road. 1 cracke brake drum, and the other was paper thin. So I had them do both drums an pads plus wheel seals. Glad I did because one of the axle nuts was only hand tight.
