Nice.
Well the magic number seems to be 2,700 miles per week in all the business plans that I look at. And I will admit that this was how my business plan was built.
And sorry, while I now appreciate your sarcasm in original post I thought it was serious.

hi bill. i just registered for the forum. ive been browsing on and off for years. I've read a bunch of threads RE: o/o, brokers, rates etc. and noticed you're a regular contributor and seem to be more knowledgeable than most. been driving 14 years and i/c for 10. just got my authority, have a truck and 53' van paid for and signed up to haul for ch robinson . going to a meeting at nastc and taking advantage of their fuel program. i'm sure there will be a significant amount of trial and error as i start negotiating rates, although i've learned the basics of most areas of the country. angling toward purchasing a reefer within a year as i like what i see on the fresh fruit/ vegatable rates on the usda website. but i know i can make a decent living in the meantime. been 1.4 million miles, and pulled van, reefer, and food grade tanker. saw you own a company and you offer a training program. i'm interested in more info and any advice you might offer. thanks.

Good post Bill. Something everyone that wants to grow should be doing. Speaking of which, we scaled back, sold some trucks and now our dedicated customers have ramped back up. We have loads for Home Depot in the midwest that we could use a good dry van carrier for. I just got back from meeting with Costco and they are more interested in the midwest region for our loads as well. We are only running the western 11 out of L.A. so if you're interested, let's chat. Call or PM me.
Glad I read your post, I was going to start searching for a carrier in your area and didn't think to contact you. -
Tom,
I sent you a PM. Alot of the drivers for Farm2Fleet are self-dispatched. Not to say we don't have things with Bill. Rollin Coal is down in Tennessee, I am in Minnesota. -
Wow...really???? I would love to be a fly on the wall when Bill reads that
