I emailed Indian River when I was considering getting into trucking. They never returned my email. I guess GOD was looking out for me.

God? Pretty sure with the price of gas, coal plants shutting down, and China make cheap copies of high end electronics the entity's hands are pretty well tied to worry about which food grade carrier you hire on to.

Pembroke, brought a load up from the Port Newark into Canada, drop n' hook at the receiver, then drop n' hook at the tank wash.. took more time and effort to get out of that country then it did to get in.. Now sitting under a repower taking a 36 (gotta be a 36 cause Canada doesn't recognize a 34). Chris said she's gonna run my butt off.. I jus laughed.

From what I've seen so far and come to understand. IRT is big on the seniority thing. Guys who've been here a few seconds (3-5yrs) are taken care of. They're usually on some type of dedicate run either it be milk from a farm to a plant and then dead head back to repeat, or OJ from a port to a plant then back to repeat. When I started I was all over the place and really ran, they then when my day started and had an ideal when it would end. There were plenty of times when they asked if I can go get a load off another driver and deliver it. I could have been like "not, I'm already showered and under the covers", but instead I jus go after it. I have a home, if I wanna fiddle with my tally wacka I'll go there and do it. When I'm on the road it's to work and nothing elsr. I don't even run with other drivers cause most want to stop for breakfast and spend almost an hour in the truck stop while getting fuel.
Seems like alot of drivers come into it half azed not expecting to lite the road on fire and end up feeling too pressured to carry the work load for the pay. If they leave then they had to do what was best for them. I knew what it was when I was over at Knight, and I knew what it was before I came over here. Ain't no rrason to be b1tch3n and moaning ova somethin as if it was a surprise.
And whats with all the talk about per dim? Ok, 8cents of what you make wont show on your W2, I dont see the issue with that unless you plan on buying a home or making some other large purchase, in either case you could always just explain to the under writer what the issue is, unless you would jus so happen to not be a people person then ya just out of luck. I sware reading some of the gripes and complaints on this forum makes my balls sweat. Next Tuesday is mandatory"Get the Sand Out of Your Snatch" day. Everyone that belives Obama, the Gov't, the world, and space aliens are out to get them have to hold their hands above their heads and jump up and down multiple times. Takr pictutrs of what was left below you and prizes will be FedEx'd to your home of record. Knowing their track record, don't get your hopes up about it getting to you on time if at all.xbmann Thanks this.
