J B Hunt (Adam) has offered this load at $800 for a 560 mile run out which 462 loaded miles at 35k LB. The market for this kind of run in this area is about $1500 going North. Can you imagine how much of a profit these companies are pocketing on this kind of loads. The whole industry knows that the commercial truck runs for the average price of $1.53/mile and the bad areas don't even pay that. So If you are not going to make in the hot market of NC (600 alarms in 45 minutes) where will you, not only that, it is going towards bad market as well.

I had my fill of JB about a year ago. Fighting with them about detention got old. No loads is where they are and where they'll stay.
-
They find any excuse not to pay detention, layovers, lumpers, etc.
Just another sorry excuse of a company trying to find suckers where they can make 30-50% margins
These type of greedy companies will never work for 10% -
If people would quit taking that crap they would.

-
Would you still do it if where it delivers you are 450 miles deadhead to the next load?
