From what I've read, that is one of the top reasons.

Not so much the job itself, but the life style they can't handle.

    Hello Gordon,
    Just heard from the Bank....
your score is lower than they will accept... so we can not fund you at this time.
Could you possibly come up with the money up front?
    please let me know..

The problem is they never pulled a credit report. I know because I have an account with all three credit places and I get notified at once when someone pulls a report down
W/S didn't think I would make it this far

I am going to find a Hungry Lawyer and sue them for Descrimination.

I know you young people may not understand but when you get older you have to put up with this. I am a fighter and I have 100 web sites that W/S will be on now plus 3 others for Discrimination.

Jon, the answers that you gave are accurate. I have studied many different trucking companies that train and they say it costs them close to $5,000 for every student they train. It's true that trucking is not just another job, it is a life style change and it is a cause for the high driver turnover.

This is the big day and I am looking forward to seeing all the guys pass onto being real truckers with a real CDL Lic in their wallet.

I feel lucky to have jumped thru many hoops and now have my DOT Cert and my CDL Learners permit in my pocket.

Many ways to get out their trucking and I won't give up my dream. Just have to approach it from a different view now.

I just need to find some kind of truck to practice in. I wonder how I am going to do that?

I may end up going with Sage because the MDV guy who processed my permit last wed says all good things about them, I think they have different loan programs available.

Wish you all good luck in your schooling and will be here reading your posts.

Sorry Sal, I thought we would be Roomies.

Ark, sorry to hear you won't be in our class. I do hear that Sage is a good school. Is there one by you?

We have a Sage school only 46 miles away in Kingman AZ

I got a little bit of news today.

W/S did send papers to the bank and the query from TAB they made yesterday finally showed up today on my credit account so I told Bonnie sorry about saying they didn't even run it. But the problem was from what Curt told me today below.

We have not said we will not employ you. We've only said we will not co-sign a loan for you.

    Curt Weidner
    Director of Recruiting

Well that kind of locked me out cuz I do not have that kind of money to pay them for my schooling. The papers I signed for the loan had the place for them to CO Sign for the loan and I thought that was SOP but I guess not.

New adventures ahead somehow. Maybe the Lotto tomorrow is up to 115 Million, Then I can pay for my schooling and get a good used truck.:biggrin_2559:
