Try posting your truck. CHRobinson called me early this morning with a $2.30/mile weekend van load from Cincinnati to the Baltimore area about 30 minutes after I posted the truck. That load never hit the board.

Here is one answer from Landstar, I would have let you listen the conversation ( the way these arrogant people talk ) if I could but for now let me just share the listing and the price they offered, and pretty much same answer from all the calls I made. I had a truck in Charlotte today (approx Load to Truck ratio was 3.1 loads / truck) and the loads were being posted for reasonable price, but when I called the answer was, either it was booked or completely ridiculous rate which will not be worth anything. Here are some examples

Laughing at some one when he or she is in trouble, can only guarantee, that you will see yourself in the same situation soon.
Like the guy said, "they went after the Christians and I did not do anything, because I was not a Christian. Then they went after the Jews and I did not do anything because I was not a Jew. Then they went after the Muslims I did not do anything because I not a Muslim. Then they went after me, and ran for help, but there was no one left to help.

What in your mind is a good rate? What is the minimum that you will haul for?

Going North is always high because there is no freight up there and the traffic, tolls, restrictions suck. That's why a lot of companies I talk to, have a policy, not to go pass Pennsylvania. By the way another carrier I know pays about $200 extra for his load board, which includes actual transaction which took place on booking a load. That is provided by the software company who makes trucking software for brokers. Before I go anywhere I ask his advice if that will be a good run.

cheap freight ...cheap freight....fuel is $4.00 a gallon and the freight rate is $1.00 to $1.20 a mile and they think it is a favor to you to offer that rate...

Time to quit bending over and getting screwed for fuel money...Stand up an do something about it.

DON'T HAUL THE CHEAP FREIGHT!! Not even for fuel money

Your first problem is that your pulling a van trailer..... the next problem is that you think there is some conspiricy and people are out to get you, and monitoring your calls...... lastly, try a different load board. From what i hear, the OOIDA board is a joke.

I use transcore. It's pretty decent. Except for TQL ####### it up all the time. Other than that coming out of the south going north your gonna run for fuel money. At least it covers the fuel for the whole trip. So get paid comin down.
