Is the $1,000 to $2,000 a week, after fuel, truck payments, insurance and other deductions?

That's what I'm shooting for. I'm finding better rates on the ooida loadboard than through crst. I'm getting things figured out. I actually got a negative statement this week ($65, which happened to be what I paid for insurance for my fiancee and daughter to be able to ride for the year) but that was my fault I had my daughter on the truck this week and didn't get 3 loads transflowed in time which was about $3k gross, but it will be on next weeks statement.

I also had a broker ask me to contact him for more loads, we had a snafu with a DOD load that delivered today and I guess I impressed him (I hope) with how I handled it because he wants me to haul more for him.

It's hard, I won't lie, if my family relied on my income right now we would be starving. But that is more my fault than anything. I'm learning.

No, it was my second full week, though not a full week since I didn't get my truck out of the shop until tuesday.

Yeah you can get a $100 advance. I'm going to concentrate and run the next 2 weeks hard and see how I do. I haven't been running as hard as I am capable of. Securement and tarping aren't wearing me out as much now which is nice.

I'm coming over there in a couple of weeks. My truck is paid for. I'm hoping to do alot better than freight hauling. This $1.35 per mile is for the birds. Not to mention, the wear n tare on the truck. Lost and lots of 45k lbs loads......

Appears that Brady Vaughn ( Google-My CRST Malone Diary) might be checking out, he's selling all his tarps, straps, etc. Wonder what's up there?

What is the age limit they allow for passengers? What is the process for getting a load from another broker? I tried getting loads from other loadboards and brokers when I was with CRST VanEx but never could get the loads because my dispatcher would always drop the ball in getting the load put together.

Age limit is 10 but they must be immediate family or live at the same address.

If I find a broker load I call my FM to make sure the broker is not on the do not haul list. If that checks out I call the broker, negotiate my rate, then have them fax the info to my FM. After the load is accepted my FM calls me with the load information.

When I was there one thing I found out was to avoid the Catlisle shop at all costs they are a joke. I always tried to get any work at the
Cedar Rapids terminal (night shift) or the terminal in Rockport. I know the Carlisle terminal is close to you, but they have a DGAF attitude.
