Well, this is technically a non-permitable load. And yes they do exist. It is NOT overwieght. Government Pass. Just long and Flexible to a degree.

I really just wanted some experienced drivers that new the trip and could forward some thoughts on each route.

Your going to have you butt nailed to the wall I do alote of oversize loads I moved one for the state of Texas and had a police excort and first thing they wanted to see was my permit if it's longer than 75ft or hangs off the trailer more than 4ft you need a permit

I have ran that route many times. but as others have already warned you are asking for trouble. 14'2" is over height.

Unless you are driving a government tractor and trailer you will get no free pass from anyone.

96 feet long load, bad juju with no permit and I run permit loads for a living and if it is non permit-table then you are illegal.

Since he has the government pass, his escorts may be black helicopters.

I-10 is the "best" routing for this run....no escort huh...no PD for some of those tight curves...like down and around Benton, clearances through the Phoenix tunnel, cause you sure won't want to try the 10/17 curve...even the HazMat bypass through San Antonio (410?)....glad it's you driving and not me!!!

what about that underpass just after Redlands? Is that 15'?

aiwiron and the gambler Thank this.
