Hey, I'm a newbie. Thinking of going with Prime and have a few questions that I couldn't find covered in earlier posts. First off, pay. When do you start getting paid the $600, is it after orientation when you go out with an instructor or after you're finished with him? It's unclear on Prime's website. And what's it like just being on the road? Would like to know about the life besides driving: how many drops per load, are you unloading, how long does it take to turn around with another load, hook and drop average, what do you do when you gotta go #1 or 2 I mean really gotta go, eating, stuff like that. I'd appreciate your responses!

 

You start getting the 600 as soon as you get your CDL. The first week is pro-rated depending on what day you get it. While out with your initial instructor (before you get your CDL) you can take a 200 advance every week that you'll pay back at 25/week once you start getting paid.
