same story in the metro DC area too!

 

There is supposedly a shortage of drivers but newbie's like me (clean as a whistle records) have a hard time getting a job. Maybe if I were from Mexico these companies would welcome me with open arms.

 

It's a you're from Florida problem. It's hard for a company to get you home if they don't have terminals there or freight going that way. Otherwise, there's no shortage of drivers, just a shortage of drivers willing to work cheap, get low miles, and be abused by the bottom feeders.

 

That's where I'm from and I didn't have a hard time getting a job with a very good company (Crete/Shaffer) right out of school. This is where I plan on being for a long time.

 

Don't gotta' be from Mexico ... just willn' to work for nothn' ...

 

one guy told be yesterday it was ( happy as a clam) with .28 CPM all i could say is WHAT your joking right???
