Well the International Dealer said my truck is ready for pickup. Was hoping that they would take an extra day or so, so i could squeeze another day at home. Oh well lol!! Ill be heading out tomorrow morning, i hope i dont have to go to G/P in Palakta after all this rain that place is a giant mud hole and gets the inside of my truck nasty!

If you're going to "Specialty Rolled Metals," your big plan for tomorrow should be "Getting out of Specialty Rolled Metals"

DrtyDiesel, Cheryl and Treefork Thank this.

In carol stream, IL. Waiting on a load. Got 5 hours left on my 70 and I send dispatch a message asking if I can go to gary, cuz I only have 11 winches on this trailer. They said to wait to see if a load becomes available. So....I'm waiting.

If they send me to specialty rolled metals I'm going to gary because I won't have enough time to be there. Plus I won't have enough winches to secure the load.

Thank you Lyle, and thank you as well. Glad you enjoy my post, probably the only person who does haha.

As for me, I delivered a load to Bond Dry Wall just north west of La Crosse yesterday, after I got unloaded I drove like 100 yards to this kwik trip and parked since I had to wait for a load. My FM told me it would be a wait, so I closed up shop for abit. About 4 hours go by and he calls me asking if I would go to Tacoma WA. I said of course do I got rid of my curtainside for a preloaded step deck.

Loaded up at Trane in La Crosse WI. Cool load I might add.

[IMG]This load is going to Korea! Crazy!

Well I'm jealous of lantern lol. I have to go to Specialty rolled metals on the morning. Hopefully it'll be a quick pickup. The shipper wants me there at 0500.

Some flatbedders may have been to my previous destination before. Picked up a relay 2 stopper in oak creek wi of ceiling tiles. 1st stop Brooklyn NY and 2nd east Hartford CT. I hate new England and was reluctant to accept but didn't want to deny it and was good miles and extra pay. Plus NYC I've never delivered too so it would be interesting. Thought of the nightmares of it and took 80W all they way after a lil traffic in Chicago. Full tanks so didn't stop at Gary yay. So got real close to Brooklyn at a travel plaza in Jersey. Woke up early and pretty much rolled in b4 they opened. Better than traffic with their tight roads. Got unloaded headed to CT. Light traffic but not a problem. Got unloaded there after some time considering I was a van trl in predominantly flatbed con. Probuild both stops. Oh and in Brooklyn got worried about the low clearance bridges so I got off toured the city almost got side swiped made a call and got back on 278. Bridges marked a ft. lower than what they're marked. A lot of them but made it by following another van driver. Let him test it out first. I called to roehl b4 and a trainer was nearby said I would be good. Anyway after CT unloaded there was left over freight. The shipper loaded the Brooklyn stop in the nose and the rear of the trl, with CT 's freight in the middle. So I had to go back to Brooklyn. Went to the Milford pilot near CT /NY border did a 10 HR break. Then woke up early again back to Brooklyn. Got unloaded and picked up a light VW load going to Jacksonville near the drop yard. The yard has nothing and truck stop near by is little so I'm at GA /FL border delivery tomorrow afternoon hopefully early then off to Atlanta. NY a interesting trip, narrow streets, low bridges but made it in and out twice. Pretty happy about that and do it again. Just makes me a better driver to deliver anywhere besides Canada, I'm not going there LOL.
