I drive for Maverick as well. The pay is good. Hometime, most every weekend. Best of all, they treat their Drivers with the respect they deserve. Awesome Company to drive for!!

I am happy with them as well. All companies will have quirks ever now and then. I had a CSR that was being a pain in a butt the other day, but it happens. I know another driver that does not get online and he had an issue with night dispatch. He had 0 hours to gain from 8th day gain as he was off for a funeral. He told night dispatch that he needed a 34 he was out of hours. Night dipatch told him no you don't and told him to run. He called one of the classroom intructors from orientation at home and he backed him and got another truck to come repower the load. When I went to orientation they gave me a list of cell #'s to call as well if I ever had a problem or question. Not many companies do that. -
is there still a long wait time at Maverick? I turned in my app last week and left my recruiter a message on fri. and didnt get a call back.
-
They just called me yesterday and I wanted weekends home. He wanted to sign that day for me to be scheduled to start orientation/training. I asked if I would still getthe SE region and he said after orientation I would have to wait a month or so before available trainer. But he could put me OTR immediately if I could be out for several weeks at a time. I said I would think about it and get back with him.

I am OTR and I am home almost every weekend. -
You guys going into mav right now be careful, I bet if you have your CDL, the wait is shorter. Freight slows down in the early part of the year. They are looking to fill some problem seats in that glass division. Regular OTR there is about 2500 or more a week, that truck is going to run those miles every week, if it does you'll get along fine. Your division is determined buy your actual address, where you live. I do know that they broker thier own freight, mostley to IC drivers, that's thier O/O division and they run Canada in thier travels. drive55cat

Depends on what div. The US div does not run canada.

I have been out of driving since 2002 but i still hold a CDL.I am wanting to get back into otr and after reading all the comments on Maverick they sound like a great company to work for if you are a family man like me.I will be giving them a call for sure.I have always wanted to pull a flatbed,so it sounds like they may be a good company to go to.

I already have my CDL I got it last month. I live in KY so the recruiter said I would go in to the us division. I hope if I get hired tere is not a long wait. Do they provide any meals at qrientation?

Thank you for the heads up drive55cat. The recruiter stated that they had opennings in the SE division and home weekends for my location. I'm not sure about their wait time, but I will ask to start around the first of the year.
