Made it to the Sinclair in Lamar, MO after picking up in Carthage. Headed to Lincoln, NE in the early morning. Running on recap and will not have a whole lot of hours tomorrow which means I'll probably end up sitting in Lincoln all day tomorrow.
Btw, this is my second poorly paying load in a row. Not happy about that but we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Don't worry sir, your just slowly learning how these shippers of our Northeast "backhauls" work.. Millard is kind of tricky, usually these loads don't get done until late in the day, It use to be alot worse, actually wait until November & December around hoilday time, that place will be a mad house!!
For future references you can stay on the lot in Millard, most of the time i will just take an 8 and just shoot down to Front Royal afterwards.... But it seems like you've yet to see our other varieties of pick-ups, trust me Millard isn't nowhere near the worst on the list!! -
Be slow to anger, my son.
Seriously, sometimes the poopers come in twos and threes like that. Let dispatch know, so that you're certain they're aware of it, but save the crankies until you get a few more loads down the line.

Haha. I'm sure there are worse places. it's all good though. I'm sure I will learn all the hated places. Now I'm at the Sysco here in Boston. Looks like a nice place so far. We shall see what the morning brings. Thanks for the heads up about being able to park on their lot. I wasn't aware of that. That is great information to know.

I think i met you on 287 today Kev, if you seen 2 of us running together going south then that was me and another guy...

I'm not angry so I hope my post didn't come across that way. Anyway my current count of low paying loads is now four in a row. In Emporia, KS and hopefully david finds me a good load going home.

Yes, I did see two of you guys running on 287 today. I've seen a lot of drivers here lately on my way up here to MA. That was the 2nd time I've seen two running together though. Usually I just see one, but two at one time was nice for a change lol.
I'm still here at Sysco in Boston, waiting to see what Cory has. He says he doesn't have much right now, so I guess I will sit here and wait before leaving to keep my hours. I'd hate to drive to a truck stop, and God only knows where the closest one is. I've got a handy dandy pocket truck stop guide, but I'll be ###### if MA doesn't have much in that book where I'm at. I know there is one a couple on 495 but it says they charge for parking. I'm not paying to park anywhere unless I really have to. If anyone knows of a place we can go that has food and such close here by this Sysco please let me know. Hopefully I will get out of here soon, and if not, I'm not gonna complain, just relax is all I can do.

If you are at the Plympton Syscos, you can go west on rt44, cross over rt 495, and you come across a walmart, lowes, both with lots of parking. Across from Lowes there is a applebee's and longhorn steak house. They usually dont give the drivers any problems. If you go past rt 24 there is a few more options such as dunkin donuts, chinese restaurants and many other places to get something to eat...Good luck
kev9781 Thanks this. -

Picked up a load in topeka at reser's, wound up taking my 10 there, would have made it to front royal, but by the time i made the previous delivery in macon, mo, i had 2 hours short on my 70 with the dead head and loaded, and thats even with not using too much on duty! I got as far as raphine and handed it off, i wasnt to pleased with dispatch on this one, went back and forth with dispatch, was originally planned to take a white wave out to iowa over the weekend, despite the fact i had a doc's appointment at home, but it was pulled of and dispatch apoligized for the mistake...craaaazy week.
