Headed to Dallas 4th of September for orientation for nine days. What can I expect and what is the next step after that.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm going to tanker orientation on the 28th in Greenday, it's going to be a long bus ride!

where you riding from. I am trying to see if they are providing transportation there. Did they give you a list of everything you need to have or what you should bring? I should get a call tomorrow to confirm

I'm riding out of Hinesville, GA. They gave me two chocies as far as transportation, Greyhound or personal vehicle. They said that they compensate your fuel if you save your receipts, but I chose Greyhound because it will be a bit less hassle. They gave me some information such as the comfirmation number for my ticket, also info about making sure that you have or can obtain a TWIC, Hazmat Endorsement and documents required to prove you're a Citizen. If you have a Passport that's all you need, but if not then there's abig long list of documents that they can take in lieu of it; Drivers License and Social Security Card being an example. If can forward the E-mails I have if you want.

The biggest things other than your TWIC, Passport, Hazmat and CDL are making sure you have pants (work pants, cargo pants etc.), long sleeved shirts, flashlight, emergency cash. You can't wear shorts, sweatpants and such, and of course you have to be shaved.

Hey stirfry, do you have any driving experience or are you a student just starting out? If you are a student, where did they send you for regular orientation? I see you live in Kenner, I live in Metairie and am thinking about applying with them for a tanker job. I'm a student, no experience.

Doublecutter I have driving experience from the military. I applied for a position Reserve. Only folks hiring rookies straight out the gate. Good opporunity for some one just starting out I hear its better than driving Vans.
