Sitting at the weigh station on US2/US53 in N WI. Had one minute left when I pulled in. Is is just me or has Roehl just lost it? Yesterday after unloading I sat for 90 minutes with no load. Called t 15 minutes and sent msg at 75 minutes with a nothing yet responce 5 mins later. Got load 10 mins after that. Pick up the load, preloaded from Wabash, IN heading to L'Anse, MI. Oh, it was loaded the DAY BEFORE and was already suppose to be in L'Anse. I sat for 90 mins waiting for this load that was waiting to be picked up?? WTF
Today, I get to L'Anse and see 5 Roehl trucks there, 3 flats. Great gonna be sitting. A van driver is in the guard house asking for when his load will be ready? He has been there since 10 am, it 3 when I get there. Lucky me, I get a load right away heading to Moorhead, MN. They set the time for 0800 tomorrow???? So I send a message back, you may have meant 08/24 and not 08/23 cuz I can't make that without the wind at my back and a sail!

Oh, saw a truck down in the ditch on the off ramp from I-80W onto Cline in Gary last night. Don't know what caused him to go where he was, but you could barely see the top of his trailer and I couldn't see any truck. Hope the driver was ok. 2nd, saw a blue Pete 830 for Wyke on I-94 this morning. Was that any of our lost brethren?
Lastly, heard a nice AK47 shot off while at Gary last night. Not too far from terminal. Gotta love the Graveyard!

Truthfully I never thought to check it. However, they don't have me going through Oregon. I'm taking I-90 straight there. 1800 miles of i-90. Do you think I should bring that up to my FM though for the next load? Because I don't know what is out there other then farm land and cattle.

So far it's nothing but funny looking western style signs and farms. Nothing else. No pretty lady riding on a tractor plowing the land, just cattle and farms. Cool experience though.

By the way DrtyD, you jinxed yourself yesterday even thinking about speciality rolled metals. Have fun with that!

I would check, I know back when I dispatched out of there you're chances of picking your next load out of Oregon were about 60%. But who knows what it's like now, they're fairly inexpensive and valid for a year so WTH, go for broke!

True, 6 hours at the shipper.

Now I'm at gary, they told me they might relay this load off cuz I'll be a day behind on my delivery time. I get here and ask if I'm relaying it and haven't gotten an answer yet. If the customer isn't open on weekends then I'll be delivering on Monday of they don't get their stuff together. I HATE having an FM cover for mine and them not know how we operate gosh lol

Some of these pickup and delivery times are getting alittle close. Live load at 1100 appt. Then drive 484 miles for live unload appt at 2200. Same day, umm i know the mileage can be covered but they dont just load you as soon as you get there. If the shipper takes 2 - 2.5 hours then its gonna be close not too mention if the cons farts around with unload which they always seem todo now im looking at running out of my 14. FM says roll with it see how it goes. If im late there not the one getting the failure mark or possiable violation. Oh well ill let ya know if i make it! But i do agree i think Roehl has gone crazy lol

I'm in Van Wyk #767. If it was a Pete, its a good chance that was one of the few O/O we have. Haven't heard anything about an accident but I'm sure we'll find out since we have so few.
