No you really don't I been watching your thread and I know a guy or two ( not on this board ) that are leased to RTI out of the KY location and are doing 2500-2800 consistently and hit 3000 plus on occasion .. That's miles of course

My truck is showing 8.9 since July 1st, when I reset my trip meter. My actual mileage is 8.06. almost a full MPG off. I have only had one truck where the shown MPGs were accurate.

Anyone know if they do orientation at the owensboro terminal? The l/p they offer seems legitimate to me but wouldn't mind more input from current l/p's from there.

Then explain to me why he sat at ACT all the time. Can you explain that?! He's not a new trucker. He's been in the business for 17 years so he knows what he's doing. I also know of another driver currently at ACT that sits a lot. Explain all that to me please.

two weeks ago i went to rti orientation. got there on Monday afternoon(wife drove me from wichita ks) checked in to micro tel inn at the kc airport. didn't need to call the company to let them know i was there. the rest of the day just relaxed. the room is nice, it had two TVs in the room big bed with kitchenette had the room all to myself. Tuesday at 0830 a nice lady named Denise picked up me and two other drivers from the lobby and we proceeded to go get our DOT physicals until about 1000 and we had to wait about a hour for our ride to come and get us at he company to fill out all of our paper work for the rest of the day.The company is located in an old burger king, which doesn't really matter just peculiar in my opinion. On Tuesday we met our driver trainer,Brad a veteran, retired driver and really knowledgeable and very nice guy. He went over all of the company regulations and we watched videos and heard from all of the other departments talk to us about how to do all of various things that they require. That was Tues thru Thurs. on Friday morning we signed our leases (they offer variable as well as fixed lease)and did our driving tests picked out our trucks( i got a 2013 pro star with 63,000 on it).at 1400 met with my fleet manager and we talked.Soon thereafter received my first load assignment from spring hill,ks to san antonio tx. and proceeded to that location. I will be on here from time to time to tell of my exp.if you have any questions get let me know.

I am a little leery about putting my dog in this fight..

You seem a lil angry (if that can be related in text). I have a few reasons why he may have sat. Don't take offense to them, I don't know him.

    1. Late on loads either pick up or delivering.
    2. Turning down loads.
    3. Excessive home time (they have to coordinate loads to get you there)
    4. Choosing loads that deliver mid day or late afternoon and if there is a window, don't be on time but late in that window of delivery.
    5. Arguing with your dbl will get you no where.
    6. This one is strange to me, company drivers sit more than L/O. (at ACT)

Anyway, like I said, I don't know him or his habits. You asked for reasons, those are a few. I'm sure there are many more.

Sometimes companies and drivers just don't "fit" with each other. That's why it's good there are so many to choose from.

I sincerely hope wherever he went that you and he are doing well.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.
