    We drover truck and trailers and they were super tankers. The trailer had 4 axles and the truck had 4 but one of them was a drop axle. Each truck is set up to stay together so all the ABS brakes work like they should. But it's not a common occurrence but we do it if we have a split load and must unload the truck first. I wouldn't recommend it and we only drove that way for a few miles within the city. But it is something you have to take real easy because that trailer wants to push you right along. I have worse thou. Like a partial retain in the last compartment of the trailer. Our last compartment would hold 2850 gallons of product and if you have say a 1000 gallons you in for a ride.

    Last week I saw an odd one.

    A Prime lease Op was pulling a Passmore and Sons trailer. I've never seen that. Did some body buy some body else out that I missed?

    I've never heard of this, but theoretically it is possible. A 28 footer with 24k on it might be heavier than an empty 48'.

    You never couple trailers by what's convenient for drop offs. Safety is paramount here, and the heaviest must be first.

    Good point Mack; when I was with Covenant, we'd pull Sterilite loads in 53's, that were floor loaded, front to back, ceiling to floor, and it would only weigh around 9k.
